Hailing from the upper ordovician, these newly described trilobites thrived in the warm shallow seas that once covered the provinces of Quebec and Ontario. As quarries are shuttered to collectors, access to these Ordovician rocks becomes increasingly difficult. Recently, trilobites from the Trenton group have been split into two distinct species; F. senaria and a new addition, F. trentonensis. Extensive morphological differences including the presence of genal spines brought about the redescription.
