Dimerocrinites was a crinoid that lived during the Paleozoic era. Often occuring in lenses locked into micritic limestone, large pools of specimens have been found. New UNESCO laws have made coastal collecting illegal and so it’s rare to have specimens hit the open market from this remote (and shockingly beautiful) locality except from older collections. This plate was among some unprepared material I acquired and only recently prepared.
