Hailing from the upper ordovician, these trilobites thrived in the warm shallow seas that once covered the provinces of Quebec and Ontario. Ceraurus is one of the most endearing and strange looking species found throughout the Ordovician deposits in Canada. Once a somewhat common trilobite, liability law and quarry closures have led to very few of these hitting the market in recent years. Ceraurus has been considered as a possible pelagic or open water species.
