Trilobites from North Africa are among the best preserved in the world. Often without any compression or distortion, these incredible fossils almost still look alive. The main issue with trilobites from Morocco is the preparation quality which is often quite poor or, if decent, can have vast amounts of undeclared restoration and sometimes outright fabrications. Many fossil retailers buy up finished pieces cheaply in bulk and by the skidload. They are often priced cheaply and are of extreme low quality. At Stormbed, we get unprepared pieces so the preparation quality can be vouched for along with the authenticity of the piece. I personally enjoy the challenge of these difficult trilobite preps though I can only offer a finite number of finished pieces for sale (they take a LONG time to prepare).
