Perfect for any fossil collector in search of a high quality megalodon tooth. Found under SCUBA in the rivers of South Carolina by either myself or (more likely) my dive buddy, Dean Rogers. The diving involved with collecting these teeth is highly specialized and hazardous involving no visibility, strong currents and predatory marine life.
There's not much to say about Megalodon teeth that hasn't already been said in countless other venues. They are just the coolest and every collector should have at least one!
5.01'" Otodus megalodon Tooth -SC serrated/high grade
A lovely quality Meg tooth with the classic triangle blade and unique 'devil's horns' shaped root. Great tip and serrations on this one including blotches of color on the enamel unique to the AP river. Killer serrations on this tooth. No restoration or repairs on this solid tooth from a river near Beaufort, South Carolina. I first saw this tooth in about 28 feet of water as my dive buddy, Dean happened to find it right beside me! D'oh!
